Every singer has a dream of making it big in Bollywood. Thirty-year-old Arun Daga has worked towards making it true. With the official launch of his new album Dil Pagal Hai by T-Series in Mumbai, this playback singer from the city is already on his way up to stardom.
“I am overwhelmed by the stream of messages, phonecalls and e-mails I have received as an initial response to my album, Daga said.

The promos of his album are being telecast in various music channels including MTV, B4U and ETC. Produced under the music direction of Ali Ghani, Daga’s collection of nine songs have been written by six eminent lyricists including Abrahim Ashk and Nuzrat Badr and has been shot in Bangkok.
For this young man, making his way up the Bollywood stairs wasn’t exactly a rosy affair. “I have been struggling for the past five years, knocking the doors of music companies to get this break, said Daga, who has prestigious awards to his credit including the Rashtriya Pratibha Samman Puraskar in 1999 and the Sangeet Visharad in Classical music from Chandigarh’s Pracheen Kala Kendra.
Born and brought up in a Marwari business family, Daga was inspired in pursuing music by his late grandfather. “It is sad that creative careers in art and culture are not encouraged among our community and I am more than glad to have a supportive family, Daga said.
Following his elusive break by T-Series, Daga has also recorded a song for Anand Raj Anand of Kaante fame.
